1.  Ala Moana Beach :: It is free public park, located between Waikiki and Honolulu. This is basiclly 100 acre park, carrying the gold sand in it. The main thing about the park is  that it is man made.

2. Hanauma Bay :: It is loacted at the south east of the Oahu. The word Hanauma came from two words Hana + uma where hana means ‘bay’ and uma means ’shelter,  means “Shelter Bay” the rest “Bay” is a tautology.

3. Kailua Beach :: Many visitors called this beach as the best Hawaii beach and also it is been shown in 1998 when it is named as the beach in US.

4. Lanikai Beach ::  This beach is very mall nearly .5 miles, is considered as the best beach in the world. It is the best place for photo shoots and very crowdy on weekends.

5. Waikiki Beach ::  Waikiki Beach is noted for its best views of the Diamond Head, the dormant volcano. It has usually warm and cloud-free climate which makes the  weather more pleasant.

6. Waimanalo Beach :: It is highly inhabitent place containg nera about 5000 people. This place is considered as very peaceful becayse it is far away fom tourist.

North Coast Contains ::

1. POLIHUA BEACH ::  It is 11 miles from the centre of Lanai.  This a very good place to watch whale in the famous green sea. Although the sea is not safe for swimming                                       beacause of the heavy current.

2. SHIPWRECK BEACH (KAIOLOHIA) :: It is 88 miles from the sea shores of Lanai and very good for fishing.

South Coast Contains ::

1. MANELE BAY :: Manele Bay is 8 miles below Lanai City.Due to the rocky offshores it is not considered as the best place for swimming and also there are heavey currents in stroms.

2. HULOPOE BEACH PARK ::  At the end of Manele Road and near about 7 miles from Lanai, there lies the this beautiful beach park.

3. PUU PEHE :: This place contains the clear water in it so considered as the good place for swimming. The popular “First Cathedrals” is wonderful site to watch.

West Coast Contains ::

KAUMALAPAU HARBOR :: It is the only Lanai’s shipping terminal. Wharf is the popular spot for fishing. Also due to the clear water of Harbor, swimmers are attracted.

East Coast Contains ::

1. NAHA BEACH :: It is the seen mainly as fishing spot and very dangerous for swimming. It is loacated at the south-east of Lanai and very next to Lopa Beach.

2. HALEPALAOA BEACH :: It is loacated at the north-east of Lanai. It is considered as Ideal spot for sun bathing and strolling.

3. KEOMUKU BEACH :: Again it is best for fishing not good for swimming. It has the longest fringing reefs in Hawaii. It canains no facilities and lifegaurds.

4. LOPA BEACH :: Generally water of this Beach is calm so very nice for swimming. Alo it is famous for its ancient fish ponds.

The population of Kauai island is expected to be 70 thousand. Here also Tourism is largest industry which can not be declined by the fact that In 2008, there came near about 1,804,000 visitors.

The weather of Kauai is very pleasant throughout the year.  In Kauai we can see rain and sunrise in the same day.  But also it may be noted that north shores are more rainy than south shores as more greenry on north than south. That make the weather pleasant and beautiful day.

CAMPING ::  Kauai is best for the camping. Although camping requries the permission at Kauai and are issued for 7 days ata time.

HORSEBACK RIDING :: This is the best option to explore Kauai form horseback.

Now a days KIRC manages the cultural reserve of Kahoolawe. KIRC(Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission) also manages access to the island. According to this there are no commercial activities are allowed within 4 kms of the shore and this area is said to be Kahoolawe Island Reserve.

Earlier Kahoolawe was in completlly under control of US Navy and they used to hide thier explosive here. It is also said that today still US Navy has not removed the explosive. Only 25% of the explosive is being removed whereas 75% is still there. So it is advised that this place is still risky.

Due to the ranching and military activities there seems to be very liitle couldy days which makes the island dry. The under water is also been poluted due the blasts and other explosive materials. Earlier the island was green but due to the excess of goats, the vegitation was completlly damaged. Due the heavy winds out there makes a lot of soil erosion.  Here also KIRC is trying to restore vegetation, cleaning the mess, and controling the soil erosion and its productivity. Also tehy are trying to remove the grazing animals so that vegitation can be increased. Although this is very long process and take much time but steadlly and slowly it is restoring. This makes the island conatins less visitors. Also visit is limited here and requires the special permit for visit.
